RADIO CONVERSION

Hi guys, just picked myself up a 1998 k11,

I want to take the crappy cassette out and put a stereo in,

Has anyone ever done this and how easy is it?

Also anyone know where I can buy a centre console to fit the player in??

Some screws under/behind ashtray.
Gently hinge the console up and disconnect switches.
Unscrew radio.

Put brackets on new radio.
Use either loom adapter or splice your own.
You 'can' assume earth via aerial, otherwise use chassis.

Refit is reversal of above!

Tip: Alternator whine (maybe radio/Auto specific):
- Earth correctly using wire to chassis.
- Insulate chassis from radio cage.
- Insulate fitting screws from chassis. (I used transistor bolt collars, but tape should work)
- *Gone!*
