Here we go again!

This will be the 3rd k10 project ive started, last one got signed over to a mate because of no time to finish and i was moving away.

But this time im determined to finish this one!

So i bought another K10 off Chulme123.

This is what it looked like when i first bought it.

Already had:

Polo 6n coilovers front and rear
Weller wheels 13x8, which had been redrilled to 4x100 pcd
original ma10 engine and 4 speed box.
Super S front seats
Super S steering wheel
Mini Arches
Horrible stickers that i couldnt see out of when driving

I had some plans already in my head as soon as i bought the car.

cg13 conversion with 5 speed cg box.
Convert and plumb in a electronic fuel injection system
Homemade matt/satin spray job

and a few other little bits and bobs

So... one of the first things was to take the yellow film off the headlights because it was peeling off already.

i also took off all the stickers that was in the front and rear windows.

20130701_132218.jpg

looks much better with no stickers imo.

i cant take all the credit because my wife took some stickers off aswell (can you tell shes sat next to me when im writing this?)

Second thing on the list was to strip out all the interior, get rid of the rubbish and soundproofing that was in there. i also notice the carpet was a little damp so i wanted to have a good look at the floor aswell.

rear wasnt to bad to be honest. wheel well was soaked with gearbox oil from a 5 speed gearbox i got with the car.

Floor was in a good state, only surface rust in a few tiny places. a couple of the little drainage holes popped out though. They were only held in with what looks like silicone sealant anyway so wont be hard to put back in.

And the whole reason for the thread name.

underneath that gazebo is a roller tool cabinet, various tool boxes, manual tyre changer and obviously the car.

Me and the father in law lifted the fence up and rolled the car in.

As soon as i got the car in the back garden. i started to take it apart and inspect, just to see what the body was like underneath the frock.

dash out, wiring hasnt been fiddled with so thats a good sign. The cd/radio wires had all bin cut and crimped so they will be rewired and soldered.

Found this after taking the wing mirror and the window/door seal off. looks like im going to need a new door.

Had one before? And what's your plan about those arches? Keeping them, well the better question to ask... What's your plan for the exterior?

na not had one before but i might aswell see what they are like.

na i want to get some bigger arches, the mini ones that the previous owner had put on have cracked in a few places because he stretched them getting it on.

exterior will hopefully be either matt red (more than likely primer red) or satin black with some universal arches and the 13x8 wellers in white
