Project March ANK11 4x4 GTiR

I haven't realy thought about that a lot, but I want to keep the powersteering i think.
I have to see when I get the GTiR cut arrives, how I can get the steeringpump connected..

Here are the pictures that I promised you NeX:

The March ANK11 brakediscs are 22x240mm, what are the normal k11 brakes? 10x220?

If you read first post in this threadm you see that I picked up the car at the dock at 28. desember 2010, so buildingtime so far is about 3 months.

I don't need that rocker cover. I'm going to use an SR20DET from a GTiR.

Okay. Maybe the ANK11 brakes are 234x22 then.. Didn't measure that good.. =/
If you can edit you post, and remove all the extra quoting of the pictures, I would be happy. ;)

what's the code on the calipers
you might have on pulsars 240 or almera maybe

I'm sure what code I'm looking for. But here is what I found:
9ZA .. 9YS .. 31 .. TC .. Did some of those make some sense?

And the brakediscs are 239x24 mm..

so any progress on this? i like pics!
Sorry, I've forgot this thread this week. I've to much to do at work atm.
But here comes a few new pictures, haven't done much because I have to start
getting my boats ready for the summer.

awesome project!
Thanks!

Enginebay almost ready for the new engine.. Just some piping to the steering,
and som braklines left, before the SR20DET can fit. Arrives around 11. may..:

awesome you work really fast! are you planning to refit the heater system? i think that if you do you will have to take out the bar across the middle. in the cabriolet there is a bar on either side but not in the middle to make space for heater matrix

see here:

I'm not going to put back the heating system. I'm going to use the original little radiator in the coupe,
a 12v 120mm electric fan and some hoses to get the air to the frontwindow.

I finaly got my hydraulic handbrake and pedalbox..! :

Looks very nice, and I belive it's good quality as well.

How much was the hydraulic handbrake if you dont mind me asking? Ive been after one for yonks but gave up on the idea :(

Awesome progress so far!

it will be proven to be good quality after a day of a littun one playing with it!
Yeah .. I'm not planning to let the little one use it as toys.. This is MY toy!

Almost £100 GBP. And then theres shipping fee. I bought it on ebay for a seller in GB.

WOW littluns ripped it to bits
quality parts by the looks of things !
The set came that way, is I have to put it together my self, but that's an easy job.

Thanks!

Still no frontcut arrived. Hoping for it to arrive tomorrow.

Started making space for the GTiR instrument cluster:

Nothing fits att all, withouts the hubs fitting the shocks..

this is gonna own everything... period. little bandit should have been 4wd, if that hit the 1/4 in the 10's, this thing should be 9's or even 8's with the right tuning!!! mental mental mental!!!

its looking good, though the GTiR subframe seems to be JUST out on those mounting points, but not too far. i think that will be the hardest part of the job, the rest should fit together easily compared to that.

Thanks! It's not a drag car, but I'm going to try it.. But I'm going for a timeattack car.
In the start, with just the original GTiR spec, until I know that the rest of the car is ready for more. Then I'm hoping for around 400 bhp.

If you get near Randers, Nikolai, your more than welcome to pop in.
To late.. I was in Billund/Legoland. You should come visit our meet in kristiansand
11. june .. It's a great Nissan/Datsun meet.

To get the GTiR subframe mountet with some bolts isn't a problem.
But the hardest part is to get the subframe in the right height, angel, and so on..

The rear subframe is placed where it should be, and it's time for some welding..

And I made some progress in the dashbord project:

I want out on a shoppingtrip today:

I've completed the welding on 2 of the bolts that is going to hold the rear subframe to the chassis.
2011.06.02_sveising1.jpg

Left rear.

2011.06.02_sveising4.jpg

Right rear.

The nuts between the rear subframe and chassis isn't going to be there, I just needed them when I placed the bolts.

I'm not shure on what "gusseting" means.. But this is not finished.. Still more to come.

And I've drilled hole to rest last 2 bolts as well yesterday:
2011.06.02_bakstilling.jpg

Of course not finished..

Looks good. So the gtir isn't much wider that the k11? Would have thought the wheels would stick out loads requiring massive arches.

It's not that much bigger ..

March ANK11:
Exterior dimensions (LxWxH), mm 3720 x 1585 x 1430
Interior dimensions (LxWxH), mm 1705 x 1290 x 1180
Wheel base, mm 2360
Treads (F/R), mm 1365 / 1325
Ground clearance, mm 135
Curb vehicle weight, kg 960

Pulsar RNN14 GTiR:
Exterior dimensions (LxWxH), mm 3975 x 1690 x 1400
Interior dimensions (LxWxH), mm 1710 x 1395 x 1150
Wheel base, mm 2430
Treads (F/R), mm 1440 / 1415
Ground clearance, mm 150
Curb vehicle weight, kg 1230

The Pulsar engine bay is aprox. 3cm wider, and 5cm longer then the march..

i think it should fit fine, i have seen plenty of micras with 2.0 engines,

it was great to see this in real life, very impressive!
