Pressure Switch in Boot

I'm putting some lights in my boot, and I want them to come on when I open the boot. I don't have the switch like some Micra's have, so I am wanting to make my own. Is it possible to get one of the side door ones and mount it in the boot? Where would be the best place to mount it? Has anyone else done it?

I did a quick search, but it didn't turn up much

i don't know of anyone who has done this but it might be easier to get a latch from a micra that does have a boot light and just swap it over.

i would mount it in that well, where the latch drops into. those door switches connect to earth so you need a good bolt hole connection and you will need a constant feed to the light.

might be better to fit a boot switch from an alarm system.
