Preferred pistons in a cg13de turbo

As the post title states, just looking to know what the best pistons to use in a 1.3 turbo converted k11.

Don't wanna crack the standard pistons so wondering have people out other pistons in their turbo setups or has anyone got anything they have done?
Thanks MSC :)

I've ran stock 1.3 internals upto 10psi 157bhp as a daily and occasional trackdays.
prepping the engine best u can, getting the inlet air cool as possible and careful remapping is important for a reliable setup.
running that much stress over the original spec over long periods just pushes the engine closer & faster towards failure.

one day after several trackdays and daily use, I was cruising home then was overtaking a car when she suddenly misfires like a scooby and turned out to be cracked ring land

I'm now running JE 72mm forged pistons to see if they're more reliable.
still at 10psi but with larger bore/lower comp it's able to reach 163bhp.

advantage is higher strength to withstand more punishment. dunno if the rest of the system is able to withstand any higher boost reliably.
disadvantage is very high cost, huge clearances for daily use, high oil consumption.

ever since I got them, I've always had very bad oil consumption issues (1L per 300 mile), even after several complete rebuilds.
can only conclude in the end it's prob been bored with the incorrect finish by the same machinist, so next time it will be machined by someone else.

See that's the kind if info I was looking for :) thanks, massive help,

What turbo where you running polyp?
Also what fuel pump and fuel rail/cc injectors?
