Possible throttle body problem

Hi,

My girlfriend has been having problems with her micra for a while now so thought I would have a look at it myself.

Symptoms are:

Engine stalling whilst driving - when coming off the power

Varying idle speeds - normal to very low/stalling.

Poor fuel economy

Before coming here I thought it could be something to do with air intake so I have removed the air box and throttle body. The space beneath the throttle body seems to have a small pool of oil (I presume).

I had a quick look through here and found the throttle body is a common problem.. what should I do? Should I give the thing a good clean (it seems fairly mucky), or do the re-soldering thing, or I read somewhere about the fuse for the injection system?

Many thanks for any responses..

Tom

Right, might have found the problem... or A problem...

The 10a injection fuse...

Common fault. They corrode. The only way to deal with this is to put an external fuse holder on that one, as now the connections are most probably in the same state. Good job finding that by the way..
