Positive terminal fuseable link problem

Hi yesterday was driving and suddenly the car just died. No crank or ignition, power to anything just lost. Called AA where he said the positive terminal link to the battery had corroded. So he kind of bodged it up with a small wire into an 80amp fuse so we could get home. Garage said go get one from a scrap yard. I’m not great with cars so usually scrap man tells me to just go get it myself. Does anyone know if I can literally cut the wiring at scrap yard and just pull the terminal off of the battery? Or am I best just ordering it new online.
below is what AA sent me which was the problem.
