Was meant to be first start this weekend, but fuel rail leaks and ecu ignition drivers died !

Got a few things I can try to save the ecu

Ran out of time due to work, so can't get to try it out until Tuesday!!!

Need to figure out wiring for alternator,
I know it's a very basic thing I should know, but where do the wires go lol

the 5w half amp telltale bulb draws just enough current to kick the field coils into action neil, without that the alternator will simply spin without any output

Got ya, once I know where to put all the wires, I can the tidy it up, it's s right mess at the moment , no point having it neat only to have to rip it all apart if I have a fault, which there will be....I've built the thing

Second shaft........still in place!!!

Won't budge at all, bent my ratchet with a 5 foot bar attached and went through a can of gas trying to heat it up. Suggestions?

Gunna borrow the workshop compressor and 3/4 drive gun, see if that'll shift it

Would of thought 95kg of me jumping on a 5 foot bar would of got it though

Got a few jobs sorted today, battery cables, throttle cable and mounted flip front.

Car sounds amazing

Was gunna put shafts on, but wouldn't go in.......think we left it in gear whilst engine was on with shafts out at some point

How hard is the gearbox to repair, or should I just get another one

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With the amount of experience you have it shouldn't take too much time to open it up and inspect the damage. Once you yank the whole thing out that is. I'm not too familiar with that though, only watched my friend take one apart and put it back together a few times, not really rocket science with a service manual in hand.

Finally got the new gearbox mounted, along with shafts

Just need to bleed brakes and can take it for a test drive

Wish I had a garage at my house......would of had it done ages ago!!! Haven't touched it in months

Also had a mini track day to boost the motivation to finish........ but I killed it and boiled the brakes

.......so ended up having the rest of the track time in a Porsche gt2..........that can is ballistic, and with sticky slicks on a hot day, just wouldn't let go of the track, no matter how stupid I was being
