I was contemplating on acquiring a new car soon so I have decided to break my k10 Micra.

Here are just some of the items I think will be of interest;

Engine (SOLD!)
1.2 Racing Engine Head (skimmed 50thou, Cam Compression on a standard engine is around 160psi mine is 205psi.) 3 angle seats lightened and balanced bottom end (By Dave Walker) Piper Race Cam, Lightened and Balanced Flywheel

Ideally I would like to sell this engine as one whole unit, however if push comes to shove I may end up breaking it also i.e. sell the head and cam etc separately

Upgraded front break set, Figaro vented discs, callipers and pads less then one year of use (bolt straight on/callipers alone cost £200) (£120)

I am currently based in North London (enfield area). Superls I am currently weighing up all offers and at present £70 is too low however if nobody beats that offer i will get back to you (p.s whats your mobile no.)

Models produced since 1985 have provision for the fitting of a rear anti-roll bar(aka rear stabiliser bar). The anti-roll bar is bolted between the two lower links. As my micra is an 1989 version there was no need for the square links and thus do not have. hope this help

what miliage is the engine? dont know if i'll take the whole thing but if the head comes up for grabs i'll take it?

if you do break the enginne i will take the ex manifold while i'm picking up the head ;)

Interested in the suspension what make are the dampers? What condition are they in? Also what make is the rev counter? Does it light up etc?

cheers ill pm u my mobile in a sec, and the thing about all after 85 having the square link arms, they dont as mine is a 1991 and doesnt and the two in the scrappers are 1 liters and dont, the roll bar was only fitted to 1.2 litre engined cars.

I can't believe that no ones wants the seat upgrade? They are real nice MR2 seats which custom made adaptors... they fit 100% and look the business. They are more comfortable with lumbar support, adjustable side bolsters, knee support adjustment and head rest adjustment! I have never got a bad back even on long trips with these seats, with the Micra Super S seats and standard seats I always had complaints!

Save a fortuine and buy this bolt on upgrade... make you micra handle like a go cart and not a shopping cart!

What mileage are the dampers on? And what make are the dampers?
Also what make is the Rev counter? Does it light up etc?
 
Sorry I do not wish to sell the doorpins as am using the micra as storage for all parts and do not have space for doors to be lying around.

The breaks are much better then standard, reason i never got bigger discs or callipers is because its pointless! The standard micra breaks easily make the car lock up, they just would suffer greatly from break fade. With these new figaro breaks you have to push very very hard and for a long time (track racing) before you sense any breakfade, easy to install bolt straight on. One of my wiser upgrades

The make of the shocks are Monroe which are attached to H&R springs and have had around 20k of use. No leaks or corrosion again an easy mod bolt straight on as springs are already attached. (http://www.putfile.com/pic/7859569)

Not sure of the make for the rev counter, yes it does light up works perfectly!

engine sold to me, think twin webers went while back to speedle and now with curtis, and regarding the seats, make him a good offer!

Yes as the figaro has an identical chassis to the k10 and so fits perfectly. The main difference is that the figaros vented break discs are 2mm thicker then the micras originals. Thats why in order to have this upgrade you need to have wider callipers otherwise the k10 ones are fine. Some people have tried bodging the micras callipers as figaro callipers are rare second hand and are very costly from new. Breaks being so important i decided to buy these from new.
