Passenger external door handle broken

Hi all..

I have a 53 plate Micra.. the other day I pulled the handle on the passenger side and the whole lot came off in my hand.

Ive managed to put it all back together and nothing looks broken.. but I cant see what holds the smallest bit in (the bit with the rod on the back)

Do I need a complete new handle? Is there a how to guide on here about fitting?

What holds the smallest section in place?

On the inside edge of the door, a couple of inches above the latch, is a plastic grommet (or hole if someone's removed it). Within that hole is a torx screw (t30 I think, maybe t27) that holds that part of the handle in place (the same but that include the keyless entry button where fitted).

Hopefully the screw I still in place, and you'll just need to tighten it.

Also, the rod is part of the key lock mechanism, so make sure you properly connect it in case you ever need to use your key.

Do I need to strip the indside of the door out to sort it?

All sorted now..

Thank you so much... Screw was still in there.. re-assembled and put the screw back in... BINGO
