Panhard rod

Hi all been reading some blogs so now i want to lower me car 35mm or may be 50mm and get the adjustable panhard rod aswell put here's the question...how do u put the panhard rod on do u need to manually adjust it ? hence the name panhard rod adjustable

there,s a bush on each end kev (usually rusted/siezed :eek:) and you adjust the length so that the wheels sit in the arch an equal amount :)

Fitting it is a doddle, adjusting it to the correct length is just trial and error, can take a few attempts though. I think i got it right on the fourth attempt lol.

just got another question about 50mm springs.. when springs is seated on the front struts do there pop out when car is jacked up from the front say to remove wheel

thx for the answers for the panhard rod i feel relaxed about that

the springs i mean once a 50mm coil spring is installed then say down the line i have to remove the wheel will the spring pop out of the seat when car is jack up

sorry for these dumb questions its from my mk1 escort days had lowering springs on struts that pop out when car was jacked up lol

the lowering springs are (sort-of) progressive kev, where the end coils are tighter/closer wound, so they are still captive when the car is jacked up.
the stock ones are pre-loaded by about 50mm anyway, and my matiz ones on the front are about 50mm shorter, and are easy to fit without compressors (yet still captive) :)
