painted front lip/splitter

was given a front lip any know if its possible to colour code to bumper colour,as noticed it feels like a rubbery type plastic,so wondering if it will stick?

of course it is

sand it back a bit, few coats of primer, let it harden overnight, then spray a few coats of paint, leave again and clear coat it

ok cool. I thought coz it wasn't ridged it would just of flaked off ,can use normal primer?

If you sand it back it gives a rough surface for the primer to stick too, obviously not visibly rough but enough for paint

Yea can get plastic primer, but standard stuff will do the job

Gonna want to do plenty of coats and let them harden properly cause that area will be prone to stone chips

ok thanks,do u know roughly how many cans of base coat I shud buy to paint front bumper and lip?

Just read your earlier post properly about it being ridged, if you're gonna bend it then yea the paint will crack and flake

Why would it be bending though?

Can get stuff called plastic dip, bit more expensive but its supposedly flexible as its like a rubber coating, also no sanding or primer required

It will xrack if it flexes but if its sanded the paint shouldnt flake

You can get flexible plastic spray paint too.....
