Paint and engine..

hello .... anoyed just so you know

painted my rocker cover yesterday and put it on the car ran it and tryed to clean and buff it but couldent get the white water marks out the paint is starting to go white in places and i think the clear coat is coming off

i used hycote high temp black and clear coat.. looked like this

any tips and help ?

not sure a can help but that looks pretty nice like that bud, maybee u should give it a few good coats and alloy to dry properly??

seemed to be dry.. and left it like for a day but seemed stiky ish the laqure but i know from exsperience it just stays like that

might just chrome it..

Looks nice ...I've had paint like that..have you thought about having it powder coated at all?

i always used pastikote super enamel for my cam covers that way you dont need to laquer as it dries to a shine. high temp paint isnt needed for the cam cover as it doesnt get that hot (compared to an exhaust manifold, which is what high temp paint is for)

still it does look nice mate!

yes and yes, you just need to let it harden which doesnt take long if once touch dry you fit it to the engine its very hard wearing stuff and has a brilliant enamel finish

kool well im currently chroming the head. looking good more hardcore
