Overfilling expansion bottle with bubbles in

Hi all

Im new to a Micra and trying to solve an issue if anyone can shed some light on it.

Engine: 1.0 16v with auto box

Problem:

Expansion bottle is over filling to a point where it empties the rad of water and I have to keep topping it up.

Things ive done are:

New expansion bottle (the old one had a hole in it)
Flushed out with new coolant
New radiator cap as I thought the spring had weakened over time

I have hot air coming out the vents
I have a little white smoke from exhaust but only on start up and clears straight away
There isnt any sludge around the oil cap which I though the head gasket could be leaking

Anyone had this before?

Thanks in advance
Matt

Is there any oil in the coolant that you can see? If there is, it may well be a gasket is on its way out
Any idea how long the since the coolant was last changed? If its properly old, it might be worth doing a full coolant flush.
Does the thermostat in the radiator work open?

Sound's like head gasket to me I'm afraid bud ( or a cracked/warped cylinder head ) there is not always "mayo" around the oil filler cap when the gasket let's go. You can buy chemical kits to test for exhaust gas in the coolant, you can also use a multi meter to test the coolant too if you have one.
Google "how to test for a blown head gasket" and you should get all the info you need.
