Old gaskets

Anyone got any good tips on removing old stubborn gaskets without messing up the metal its stuck to, i cant find anyone that sells gasket remover?

stanley knife, wire brush and elbow grease we use a smaill wire wheel it alot quicker

i have been using a small thin scrapeing type razer which i found was scratching the surface a little, the surface must be completely flat still so i dont want to over do it, i will have a look more tomorrow in the light cheers

Sharp plastic stick! Or some tufnel if you can get hold of some

I use a straight edge peice of wood, it wont scratch the surface.
