oil filter: where to buy?

davey1991

If its not scrubbing, its not low enough.
mate. its an oil filter. they are pretty much all the same on the inside.

Not true, some factory items have one way valves and stuff whereas the patent cheap parts don't always have this.
This may not be true for the micra though.
I'd always buy genuine oil filters, everything else is fine.

Motor factors, just like food from a supermarket, clothes from a clothes store, petrol from a petrol station.......
For a couple of pounds why bother with ebay?.

Do you think that Nissan produces oil filter? or brakes? etc etc? LOL

they obviously buy them from other automotive industries...

and for the aftermarket you can find oem item from many factories (big general automotive leader like Valeo, Delphi, Bosch, Denso, TRW etc or specialistic brand) , with the same identical specs

For the same reason you can buy an OEM brake pad from a barke specialist like ferodo or other brands, maybe you can buy an oil filter from a specialist;

I just want to know if the linked products are good or not; is wix a good brand? and bellocat?

always buy oil filters from "andrew page" theyre the cheapest by a long way. got one for my micra few months ago think it cost me under £3

A friend switched from using a pattern filter to genuine Toyota for his Celica, he reckoned the oil light stayed on for a couple of seconds with the aftermarket one and went out almost immediately with the genuine article.
It had 230k miles under its wheels when he scrapped it. It was killed by rust btw, the engine still ran fine.
I use Blueprint filters for my Micra, £2.80 + vat from my local motor factors.
