Oil Dipstick Alternatives???

Hi Guys and gals,

Had my Ashley 4-2-1 Mani and Peter lloyd cat back on for a couple of week and settling nicely... however as always there's a problem!
My Plastic Standard Dipstick is well melting, and metal alternatives???

Thats odd, mines really close to the turbo and no signs of melting.

That strange rob, I have a lesser power car and complaing on melting things... doh!
It's really awkward frank the dip stick now just about sits, albeit they closely between 2 of the 4 branches of the manifold... hmmm

Ahh come to think of it i have bent the tube slightly so maybe thats why mine is ok.

Ive also removed the metal sheet that sits next to the rad so the cool air might be helping too.

Keep your dipstick in the boot but block the tube with an easily removable long bolt .

I just rotated mine a bit. The tube is only a push fit into the block

Mine fits snuggly between the branches tho so no escape
