Woopa Pandastyle!
Lately i have been staring at the Katana that i have in my bedroom, ideally i want to now make it into a gear shifter..

Its only cheap and shouldnt be to hard to dismantle :D

Anyone clever?
 
Maybe clamp the blade in a vice and heat the couple of inches nearest the 'handle'. The heat may travel into the handle and soften the epoxy and let you pull it out. You could then fill with epoxy and re-tap :).

I butcherd it a bit earlier but should be ok... :oops:
 
Epoxy resin is a Thermoset, it won't be softened by heat (although it can be got to the point that the material breaks down. Smelly.
