hi everybody have been a member for a while but inactive i had a k11 as my project then give up and got another skyline then 200sx s14! i still have the s14 but have just won a j reg low mileage black micra k10 super? im presuming the s has fell off the end as i cant find anything on a micra super only super s!
So what can i do with it?
i am a power monster and want this to be a sleeper!
Turbo/engine swap options are there for straight forwardness i am a mechanic with alot of tuning experience so there isnt an issue there but i am lazy and want best bang for buck with easy installation!!
How hard is say an almera 1.4/1.6 to swap i can make a turbo kit for them easy
so come on guys inform me im fairly poor so no big budgets here and it is my daily so cant have it off road for weeks
cheers for your input:grinning:

take a sr20det it will fit and it will be overpowered ;)
take a normal sr20de it will fit and it will be a lot of power
take a ca18det and ist will be overpowered to
take a ca18de it will be fine
take a ca16de and will be enough power

even k11 engines require engine mounts and driveshafts modifying, so there isnt any 'easy' drop in engine conversions for them. Even though the engines alleks has mentioned will have alot of power, If I was gonna do a swap, it would be the 1.3 16v out of the k11 with a nice cam, bikecarbs, head work and a stainless exhaust.

Ive got a super (no s) its basically a mid spec 1.0 4 speed made a bit prettier. e.g green stripe down the side, super s boot spoiler, the cooliest k10 interior ( all black with bright green detailing and white dials. if i was changing engines id go for a 1.3 out a k11 as the almera 1.4/1.6 is steel block so would ruin the micras low weight. also the 1.3 is easier. to fit the 1.3 you need to: mod drivers side mount, fit a k11 1.0 clutch, flywheel and gearbox (a k10 box should fit fine too). then if you want to stick with the mpi its the mission that is the wiring. the 1.3 is a very capable engine you can get 100bhp with just inlet and exhaust mods with a very small weight gain. if i had the patienece a 1.3 would be in mine :)

If you want power, you need a good buget to work with so best save up if you really wanna do something with it. Else just tidy it up, sell it on and get something with more tuning options.

if thats your tuning advice then im disappointed:down:
engine swaps are cheap turbo conversions are a tad more expensive but still as most the stock bits exhaust manifold can be modified to fit and a micra doesnt exactly require a gt2871r a little t2 frst tubby will surfice which again arent expensive
my budjet aint super low i can build up a collection of parts then do it all in one weekend after all i do also have an impreza and an s14 which im not spending money on till i sort all the niggly bits on the micra few dints need doing and the frankly dangerous biscuit tin wheels need binning
speaking of wheels is the pcd 4x114.5? and max sizes without arch modifications

Dangerous? Are they buckled or damaged or something? Anyhow there are people out there looking for stock k10 rims so rather than bin em stick em in the buy & sell section, or put em on ebay and post a link or something.
Might be an idea to get all the mechanical jobs done before the cosmetics, i told one of my friends this last year and he said 'no no it'll be right, i won't damage owt i'll be working underneath the car', till he smacked his wing with a hammer lol.
Sounds like you've already got a quick car with the scooby so you don't really need to do much with the micra.

no but they scare me in the wet maybe the cheap tyres but im not happy till i have wide wheels thinking 15''x6j maybe 7j depending on the amount of work involved! it understeers like hell could be the crappy weather but its getting nearer winter so ill just feel better knowing ive got more rubber on the floor and my missus drives it so the more planted the car is the better! the wheels are 13'' steelies painted in a speckally dark grey running 155/70r13 75t tyres

if you get 15s you'll need 195/45s and the right offset or you'll rub on the back arches ;) usually 14s are a better bet as they usually dont rub but then tyre choice is more limited. also micras are 4x100

ah cool right just means cheaper wheels(Y)
im getting some arch extensions on it too an extra 3.5'' width to playwith spacer wise:laugh: hopefully getting next week

Lowered -35mm, 15x6.5J et40 195/45

only rubbed with heavy loads in the back and i remember the steelies sliding all the way round the roundabout :p
Good Luck!

posted on your blog its for a hitachi ht10 (but ive got a ht07 on it) im going to be taking the turbo off so i can take a picture of the manifold for you

it was stock on the figaro and the super turbo uses the ht10 but the ht07 isnt in production any more not sure on the ht10

t25:laugh: s13 tubby pop a few pistons but low boost setting might not be that silly an idea
carbed turbo set up gonna have to do some research in carb turbo tuning/setting up

that was my thinking but i dont have the time to do it now, as for turboed carbs the yanks are helpful just search blow through carbs or if you can make one yourself heres the pics of the mani plus turbo (ill be keeping the turbo :) if i end up selling)

Ht 07 was standard on the fig and the micra turbo, superturbo had the ht10, also ht07's can be gotten on ebay second hand or reconed and there is businesses that specialise in the reconditioning of the figs ht07 using modern parts.

@ gtsnissanb - I have a few turbo manifold there aswell if your interested

i may need a t25 fitting manifold thats still a bit of a way off yet wanna sort the brakes, wheels, suspension then ill either t25 this or sr20det:laugh:
