There have always been design classics that have withstood the test of time. Philip Starck's Eros Chair, the Eames Lounge Chair, the Batmobile...

Yes, the Batmobile. Not only does everyone on the planet recognise it (not bad for a car that's not the ubiquitous Ford Focus), but it takes us back to those happy Saturday mornings of our childhood, keeping the volume down so as not to wake up mum and dad, eating cereal in your jim-jams, and watching oddly-attired adults *kapow* and *thwack* each other until justice was served. Now you can own that little piece of your childhood, as the original Batmobile is for sale!

It's on auction through Coys, and bidding starts at £75,000. A small price to pay for buying back the halcyon days of youth, I assure you.

still runs, batphone still works, what more do you want?!

They are also selling the original three wheeled van from only fools and horses.

both complete with Richard Madely butt marks (tonight's richard and judy show)
