New auto box...

Just took a 1.0 auto k11 in with a gearbox fault.The previous owner has snapped the gear change cable forcing it into gear.We welded the old cable together again to check the box & it will not move into gear as expected.Anyone had this problem before?
If the gearbox is finished I do have another from a 1.3 March,does anyone know if the 1.0 boxes are the same as the 1.3?
Not a bad car,has PAS & only 1 bit of rot in the usual sill place so be handy if I can get her back on the road..

Clivey- i think the one out the march will fit but the shafts, hubs might be different?

I think they're going to be different but I'll check the box in the garage & see has it got any tags or numbers..the gearbox specialist in Addo would probably know if I can find his number..
Any progress with the white car at all? Or is it having a winter rest?? I aint seen the Rat for weeks,have to wait for the spring now..

Well you have all the shafts and hubs anyway.... Yeah the white one is coming along- slow progress as expected. Started a blog on here the other day and gona come down n take some pics of it. Have my LGV this week so prob after xmas now. I see that the RAT still needs ecu! Have you looked into 'adjustable panhards' seening as both urs a so low? I'm going to need one.
