what you mean by taller diff? and taller 2nd gear? (sorry I'm not too expert in the gearbox mechanical)

Basically what I want is. Once my car modified for circuit racing (used Nistune ecu and few other modifications) now gearbox top gears are lagging(very low power out)

I checked online forums and found some people swap the the micra k11 gear wheels with N13 pulsar(CA16DE) and micra k10 gear wheels.

N13 pulsar and micra k10 gear ratios are higher than K11 micra gear ratios.

I have attached a photo of micra k11 gearwheel shafts photo and data of Micra K12 gear ratios. (as far as I found that Micra K12 gear ratios are the best higher ratios hold that I can find from Micra models)

You can refer this below ratio data, and see micra k12 holds the higher gear ratios.

Micra K12 gear ratio

1st - 3.727
2nd - 2.048
3rd - 1.393
4th - 1.097
5th - 0.892
Final - 4.067

Micra K11 gear ratio

1st - 3.412
2nd - 1.958
3rd - 1.323
4th - 1.028
5th - 0.850
Final- 4.0500

Attached photo for reference only.(from micra k11 gearbox)

Practically what I want is, high ratio gear wheels with shafts which can fix in to nissan micra k11 gearbox. or else Frank do you have any idea how to keep the power without loosing any, in top gears? Sorry for long thread.

Thanks
Harry

a taller diff will give higher mph for lower rpm harry, sounds like you need a low ratio diff (5:1 or whatever) and/or close ratio gear cluster
the preface 1.0 type 41 is very similar to the k10 boxes, so you might be able to swap parts, the type 30 and 31 g/boxes have bigger clusters and bigger diff splines

thanks for your quick reply Frank. Could you please send me a photo of taller diff. I want to get an idea about the taller diff.

also I would like to pay for the parts if you have to sell for my conditions that I actually need to get more power out. Because biggest problem is I couldn't find any proper manual transmission gear box from australia to swap the parts. or do you know anybody who sells the parts what I need?

Thanks a lot.

then you might be able to make a hybrid with clusters from a k10, or else change the flywheel/clutch/shafts etc and fit a close ratio 31v
Yes that's what I planned. But my main problem is I couldn't able to find a EK10(MA09ERT/ R grade) or EN13 Pulsar(CA16DE/ VR/R1 Grade) car model in Australia. I would like to buy a if someone selling this either model (Mainshaft gear & Driveshaft gear set, with final drive gear)

Frank, will you able to find one for me please?

I can upload the Nissan Micra EK10 details here, please check.

Thanks.
Harry

you have more chance of sourcing one in japan mate, very rare here, and the viscous diff has a bigger casing too

The March R 31V is rare even in Japan.

The 31V is also unique so you can't interchange gear sets with any of the non-vLSD gearbox variants.
