so thought id mod my old steelies this is how it turned out so far

needs some tyre paint on and redoing a few times but im getting there

Im thinking of running red rim tape on my black alloys at the moment. kinda gives me an idea of what it should look like(Y). Good going

Funnily enough, I've just been outside now spraying my spare tyre black. It was a bit of a mess but it's nice and gloss black now.

Invest in some duct tape. It'll make a world of difference to the neatness, and you can stop it getting on the valve and tyrewall.

Im thinking about doing this to my steelies. Did you have to get rid of any rust, is yiou did how did ya go about it? im unsure how to go about it thats all. Thanks!

what about when they need rebalancing?

do as i did and tell them not to put any clip on weights on the outside, they put stickon weights inside the rim instead.

oh yeh i forgot about them

i might just do them fully black and get red rim tape...make it tidier.

That was what i was thinking of doing. As my alloys have a lip around the edge of the rim, Use motorcycle rim tape or something?? comes in loads of colours aswell(Y)

Looks good, another chap I know on the web has just done these Wellers for his Sierra.

A good tip I picked up a while ago was to paint the tyre with washing up liquid before spraying. The oversrpay will then just wash straight off.
