Cheers mate, its very tidy, only dent we could find is 1 about the size of a 5p on the drivers door where the woman opened it onto her outside tap. Supposed to be a runaround but i'm already making plans.....

that is a mk4 k11 spoiler

ah really? so from a second facelift...strange.

nah can't see it being to much hassle and got no limit on time so it'll be fine.

and it needs a new gearbox anyway so changing to a manual box will be the same effort in that respect, only then the pedal box to fit and gearstick and gaitor.

nah engine mount will deffo be the same! Why would nissan have changed that.
And yer when i said gearstick i meant linkage etc aswell. Not sure about the ecu, i believe they may have had a seperate one for n-CVT?

looking awesome mate :D

if it were me, i would go open mouth like you said, maybe open bumper too, clear indicators, debadge but keep the bump strips, there is a good contrast of black and white, also maybe some clear rear lights and a super S spoiler. or maybe just a super s convertion, use the bumpers from your super S.

inside, the stereo, obviously, with amp and sub and ipod adapter etc, maybe change the wheel for a primera or something.... and maybe some nicer mats..

but really i think thats all it needs, it will be nice enough to go to meets with if the super s is unavalible

oh mate what about march cabriolet rear lights? as i have a spare set, i know one is cracked but there happens to be a drivers side one on ebay!

I was thinking clear lights but i may look for march ones as they are more subtle but both sides match, which i like :D

Other than that, spot on with the plans mate ;)

looks in good condition, rear headrests aswell :) if it was me i would keep it standard as its really good condition and if you ever decide to sell it more people will want to buy it. plus i would spend the money doing the super s insted of modding this one :) IMO.

looks in canny condition :)

engine mounts are the same...iirc the cvt is controlled by a seperate box under the stock ecu...pedal wise you may just be able to cut down brake pedal and fit in the sperate manual along side. (if theres enough space).

The auto box try the diagnostic test on it...it may just need new brushes which you can solder new ones on...will make it driveable while sorting the manual out :)

worst case it'll need new powder in the clutch (i never found out the exact grade, as its far too expensive buying it from auto specialists imo).

you'll need a long extension bar, as you gotta undo the clutch/flywheel from under the engine side or you cant slide the box off...everything HAS to be removed as one :) btw the access panel the haynes refers to...is like half of the metal dust plate that normally exists on the manual, you undo that then you can reach the bolts holding the flywheel on.

Unless your sitching the black bits on the bumpers/changing the bumpers, i'd leave the bump strips on!

agreed, i think the ratio between black and white is perfect at the moment.

unless you were going to tint the windows black and have black wheels (black super s wheels, there is an interesting idea ;)) then you would have to remove the bump strips and colour code the bumpers to even out the black to white ratio :D

I won't be spending much on this, and i will keep standard bits.

Nah everything is the same inside apart from the gear surround.

looks in canny condition :)

Thank you Kris. I'm not worried about fixing the autobox really as i can't afford to insure it until July. It does have a little drive sounds like the belt is slipping?

We'll see :p Won't be doing stuff like that until i have fixed the gearbox anyway.

Black steelies with a white lip? :)

Nah I fancy some super s alloys for this, but i may change my mind by the time i get it on the roads.

lol am i right in saying that you'll have to change the dash to? if you want to change it to manual,

nope dash is all the same, its just the gear gator that needs to change. but the dash might have to come out to get access to the pedal mounts.

most stuff is the same between manuals and autos just to save money.

We'll see :p Won't be doing stuff like that until i have fixed the gearbox anyway.

what you got on mate? wanna give it a go today? we can nip up to JJones and grab a box and some shafts etc, get it underway
