My long promised blog

No use for this one now @Belly93

So at the minute I'm developing these.
Sketches and tests have been done and now we're moving onto prototypes

First up is the adjustable top mount. Custom made to suit micra top mounts. Made to suit all types of suspension that have 12 and 14mm shafts (polo, corsa, oem etc)
Like this. Circa £100-120 a pair

Next bit was just incase people didn't wanna go that far
Its a spherical bearing replacement for these

Usual top mounts rubbers fail and replacements aren't easy to find. No idea on cost approx £25-35

Next is the custom spring cups. These suits both 2.5" and 2.25" springs. At the moment polo ones are ready to go.
A proper one for the corsa is being rattled out this week for test then it should give a proper solution to the corsa top mount issue
No idea on cost again. £30-40

Its been a while. So a little update is in order
Got a larger primera radiator (thanks @Belly93 ) but the mounts were obviously different so I had to make some

In steel

Didn't get a pic of underneath but it was X'd rather than +'d as on tge car board version

Haven't got a pic here so I need to get one but they were welded on to a 2.5mm reinforcement plate. Hole drilled. A grommet slotted in for vibration absorption

Got carried away and stripped the front end off and replaced all bolts with stainless steel allen key bolts so its nice n fresh

Its busy behind my rad. To squeeze in the expansion bottle from an old mini I believe and my oil cooler behind instead of in front.

With so little space about I need to put 2 front 'push' type fans in. I know I've got sone somewhere but that's more wiring to fettle and something I wanted to avoid but needs must :)

Found them hidden under an old gazebo sheet :)

Cable tie testing complete
Now I've got proper brackets to make.

Need to move little white fan too. I've said I've taken it out... but I keep forgetting too. Wouldn't be so bad if it was wired up but its not :p

I've only got til Thursday before I take to the track once more with plenty to test :)

While I'm here I had a reply from Nissan about my is a CG a miniature GA question

"Dear Andy,

Firstly thank you for displaying inrerest into Nissan technical design

Unfortunately I can't give details about each engine design but I can tell you that our CG series of engines was based upon the aging GA series engines due to the feedback and reviews of reliability and durability.

Apologies for the delayed response. I hope this answers your question

Kind Regards,

For any of those interested

I marked my readings down for unsprung weight.
Average weight alloy wheel
2.25" Coilover
GTi-R brakes
And the usual driveshaft, wishbone hub etc

Came to a total of 41.7kg per corner.
Which accounts for 20-27% of my front weights
Rear I'm doing this week after I've tested my IRS arm design
@Skinner_87 I'll keep you posted on that one :)
