My K11 Tempest

thing is with 195/50s if you went a little lower they would catch id have thought. keep the lowering till you can get some 185/45/15s on there, then claim instant win
If I went to 50mm I think it it'd sit nicely, although with any weight in the car then, I think it might rub a little. I only have the 195/50's on atm as they came off my old rims, but as soon as I need new ones 185/45's are what I'm gonna get :)

185/45/15 is the closest match to the standard 13" tire size(155/70/13) but if you compare to the standard 14" tire(165/60/14) 195/45/15 is your best match so you can keep that extra bit of width if you like just drop the profile down to 45 instead of 50. you'll notice a difference in acceleration too.

As the car was starting to get a few marks/scratches I thought it was time to give the bodywork a bit of a tidy up, as well as colour code the plastic parts of the bumpers which were to starting to look a bit faded and dull and to blend in/colour code the front splitter.

Before spraying:

Due to the paint we had being a slightly different shade (more blue than the original colour) we tried to lighten it a bit by adding extra silver which ended up with us having a custom shade of Techno Grey, but I personally think it looked a lot better than the original and also a lot lighter/cleaner :)

hmmm so what if you decide you want to de-bump strip the sides in the future? :/

other than that, just noticed this thread and very impressed... a good clean example.

If I did de-bump strip it, then i'd just get the sides re-sprayed again so the difference in colour wasn't noticable but I quite like them as they're not the black plastic type ones that most of them have

The bumpers are now all colour coded, and the splitter has been sprayed so it blends in with the front bumper.

The finished product, all polished and with some new colour coded mud flaps too.

My car parked next to its big brother, my dads Nissan Stagea RS4, which will probably be modified too soon :p

looking sweet matey, now for lows hehe

side note, i wonder if people in japan buy UK 'L' plates to stick on their cars???

That fuel cap is bugging me off:) but car's coming along really nice, man!
I probably will remove it at some point, but if I did now it would have the slightly darker shade underneath compared to the new paint

Thank you. Yeah i'm just saving up a bit atm for some springs from Matt Humpris :) hmm maybe, or they might have their own sign/symbol for learners, like the wakaba leaf means new drivers

Nice pictures:)
What do you think of grey shade flyeyes for your rears, it'd look very smooth as you've got plenty of color coded bits...

Thanks :) I was going to get either the lighter shade of black or a grey flyeyes film for them but now I think I may buy smoked Lamin-X film instead as it looks better and doesn't have little holes in

I decided to take a trip to a scrapyard to see what I could find lying around, and came back with a polo splitter and was going to get a pre-facelift tailgate handle but by the time i'd got the splitter off they'd moved the other micra to the top of another pile.

Also got some smoked side repeaters too as the orange ones looked out of place with all the grey/black, and found a nice spot for some photos :)

i love this, looks the part, can i ask, what age of polo did you get the splitter off? and did it require any modding to go on? thanks

Thank you :) The splitter was off a mark 4 (6N '94-'99) Polo, and there wasn't any modding needed, it went straight on with self tapping screws through the Polo mounting holes

After much searching for a good condition Super S spoiler, I finally found one, which was actually in almost better condition than the one currently on my car :)

So it was just a case of spraying the new one, and then off with the old one and on with the new.

I also had new brakes fitted at the same time as it failed its MOT on brake imbalance, but I forgot to take any photos of these, but the brake feel now is so much better than how it was.

I haven't updated this since Japfest 2, in which time the only thing I really did to it was get a new bubble gearknob and some stickers.

But now I have a new project, it's time for it to go :( I've taken everything off it, and pretty much returned it back to standard for selling..
