Got a few little bits done, Intercooler piping route done. Just need to add in a maf and recirc valve

555cc injectors fitted, need to buy the correct plug adapters for these

And next is to concentrate on full exhaust and external wastegate setup

Enough to bits to reach the cat

Downpipe is done and flanged to suit a cat and standard micra cat back system for mot time. Also bought more bits

Front section of exhaust

50mm radiator, will need some mods to fit

Injector harness adaptors, great fitment and saves me any hassle at £35

Eboost 2 controller, 40mm external wastegate and wideband

Cheers

Thinking about coating the threads in grease before fitting to help with any dirt once its on the road. Ive seen the 'socks' youve made there awesome!

the grease alone will help keep the surface oily & rust free for awhile till the water spray washes it off but exposed grease will also clog up with tons of dirt particles and potentially jam up the threads when you wanna adjust em later.

imho I'd both grease the threads to control rust plus make a tight fitting water proof jacket to shield most of the water & crap away from the assembly so it lasts as long as mine.

Driveshafts refitted, calipers cleaned up and repainted and fitted with evora discs and EBC yellowstuff pads

Think i need my discs machined! I ordered 256mm discs aswell, they dont rub the caliper but theres maybe 1mm clearance.

Also because its brand new pads and ive used the vibration stickers the pads are very tight against the disc.

Pretty annoyed alot of my recent pictures are gone. Whats a reliable way to get pictures up?

Since the last update ive had eden at gizfab make me an exhaust from cat back, ive got some perspex windows waiting to go in, i broke my turbo whilst rebuilding it so thought F it and treated myself to a new garrett gt28rs, eden has welded up the internal wastegate on it and made me a custom coolant port and my nistune ecu is on its way!

Basically have everything needed now so getting a little excited about putting it all together for the final time!

Tidied up the rear axle and now the engine has all fluids in, few things im not 100% happy with but its time to just get it working and rectify those minor things at a later date

first time looking at this thread
looks like a savage tidy build, nice attention to detail,
only thing i would ay anything bad about is the cutting of bulk head , looked a mess when finished,

but other than that
i award u 1million scene points

Welding thin steel with a basic mig welder is rather difficult, it kinda has to look like that and i wasnt willing to grind it down, not something that bothers me to be fair

Hey guys, i popped my head in yesterday and there has been no leaks which is good news. Ive took a couple off days off work in a months time which should see the car starting and driving ?

The only thing that is sitting on my mind.

The oil return from the turbo is about a fingers width from the exhaust which will be heatwrapped, they wont move any closer than this and im confident it will be ok but im looking for others opinions

Cheers

Ok so the car passed its MOT back in september 2019 but i only had 1 months use (300 miles) before i decided to fit the nistune. But that is where the problems came. Ive had no ecu to use until the beginning of this year but im happy to say the car is now running on the nistune along with 550cc injectors and a Z32 maf. Ive been able to make a few changes to the car along with things i wasnt entirely happy with so photos are to follow...

First thing was the radiator, previously I used an inline filler neck which sat at an angle and made it very difficult to top up/bleed correctly. Using a weld on fitment now corrects this

First startup with nistune/injectors/maf. It is rough because i have the MAF wiring wrong

With the maf wiring correct and the ICV removed the idle needs to be higher than normal otherwise the car cuts out. Im unsure if the 0.0 reading from the O2 sensor in nistune is causing some of this as some wires need swapped with using a pulsar gtir ecu

once warm
