My K10

Been on this forum for a couple months now but haven't bothered putting up a thread of my K10 so here it is.

Bought it back in August with 51k on the clock.

My mate drove me 130 Miles down to London in his K10 to buy it.

MINE IS THE RED ONE.


This is the first picture of it 10 minutes after I got it, filling them up for the journey back.

Set me back £500. Few months MOT and Tax on her, can't complain.

Run perfectly with no problems. Gearbox needs replacing at the moment though, hopefully getting done tomorrow.

The guy I bought it off's mother owned it before him and she bought it from new.

Got some T-Cut on that faded grille straight away.

Put the trims back on now but tried the steels look for a few days.

Soon I'm thinking Starmags and 35mm Lowering springs.


The only thing is, after some research I'm pretty sure they only do 7 x 13 Starmags and I don't really wanna flare my arches out, I only wanna change things that can always go back to standard because I know I'll want to one day.

What would you all do?



We're going to Italy in March.

We're driving there in these two haha. I'm sure they'll make it ;)

Haven't updated this thread since I first posted it so I fancy showing the progress of my car and how far it has come since.

So the first main change was putting some wheels on.

I picked up these Watanabe RS8s. 7 x 14 with an offset of et25. They came with huge tyres - 185 65.
I love this picture, looks like an off-roader.

The fitment on them is pretty much perfect. This is before tyres though.

Next came the tyres and lowering, I went for 175 50 tyres and put it on -40mm springs.

I decided it wasn't low enough so the springs have been chopped since then.

I'm now sitting at around -60mm I believe. (Not measured properly)

With pretty wide wheels, stiffer, lower springs and up-rated shocks the handling is pretty awesome, I've yet to under steer in this thing.

Next addition was a Cherry Bomb 2.5''

Between all this a few stickers have gone on the car but probably not worth showing.
I also put a sub and some speakers in.

Most recent change was tinting my headlights yellow.

Yesterday I swapped out my grille for a pre-face grille and I love how it looks, I think it looks sweet.

This is now all up to date unless I'm forgetting something but I don't think I am.

Next plans are:
Pull out the dent on my passenger side
Get the front as low as the back (It's slightly lower at the back)
GA16 conversion with some help from Mr h701micra (Probably in the next couple months)

After all that I think my car will be pretty much perfect for my liking, I don't think I'll be changing much on it then.

I have sticker books on the panels now.. its easier to hold them all :p

I was gonna say, if you remember where it is you've got a pretty good memory haha.

But seriously, we need some kind of 'GA16 K10 Crew' or something similar as a sticker for the few of us that have them :)
 
Right, it's been a couple months since the last update but stuff is finally getting done, the GA16 conversion is happening in just over 2 weeks.

I picked up a Primera donor car a couple of weeks ago. 50k on the clock, runs perfectly and is such a nice car to drive. Snatched it for a bargain at £150.

It's a shame to see it go really because it is such a nice car but Micra gets priority!

The set up I am gonna be running is:
GA16
4-2-1 Manifold
Straight through exhaust done by Powerflow
With custom driveshafts and should be swapping the Prim's brakes over.

@h701micra made up my 4-2-1 just this morning and has done an amazing job. So shiny!

What a difference a set of rims and a Grill makes. Did you have to trim the grill to fit it?

I really need to update this thread. A lot has happened since haha.

But yeah just a little bit, gotta trim off the end bits that are meant to go under the lights then you gotta mod the back to fit the clips. Not too difficult really.

This was cool until you fitted yellow light film!

But I do want to hear a noise sample of the 4 branch and that Cherrybomb!
 
So you just cut the springs, Ryan? I see no issue with the rears but isn't the first coil smaller at the front so it sits in the cup? Or did you chop from the bottom? Wouldn't mind chopping mine is why I ask :) Cheers
