My 1998 Nissan Micra called Eddie

Yeah, facelifts only come with a single purple connector on the driver's side. You need to use the loom that splits it. I didn't have one so I just spliced a wire into the live and ran it across the bumper to another connector I got at the breakers.
 
Stuart, did you have to put your own fog light relay? And you have a stalk with a fog switch? I have the one purple connector on the driver side too. I've temporarily wired the fogs to the high beams atm haha but want to do it properly eventually
 
Yep, just grab any blue relay from the interior fuse panel at the breakers. The relay goes in at the top-right if I recall correctly. It's a tight squeeze getting your hand up there, but taking the gauge surround out helps visibility.

The stalk directly replaces the existing one, no rewiring required.
 
Yeah, you need a stalk with a fog light switch, it's an extra position on the fog light selector ring. You can find them on models with fogs fitted, and I've heard the N16 Almera stalk also works (as long as it had fogs fitted)
 
Not a good pic but 35mm lowed all round looks good now just need to wait for @stuartwood to sort his new ones out so I can buy his current ones

looks good, didnt think 35mm would give as much of a drop as that

Thanks for the pic, just ordered some 35mm springs there so cant wait to get them on now haha, should look well on my 14" steels :)

Also liking the look of the 5 door
 
How long did it take you to lower it? and did you need spring compressors for the front?

also have much bother getting nuts and bolts etc out?

Gonna attempt mine this weekend, will be a first so not sure how it will go o_O
 
Not much has been going on recently found out he needs a new engine as the compression is way Down
1 dry 49 psi
2 dry 50 psi
3 dry 50 psi
4 dry 49 psi
1 wet 75 psi
2 wet 100 psi
3 wet 101 psi
4 wet 100 psi

Hopefully getting a 1.3 and I'm going to use my 1l gear box so will be nice and fast hopefully :)

time for an up date on eddie hes still waiting on me to pass my test nothing new there but a lot has happened on him resently his old 1l engine would sturgal to pull him along and get him down the road so i made up my mind and went and got a 1,3 and gave him a new heart

first job was to strip the car down to get space to work on the engine so off came the bonnet lights bumper wheels and both hubs

and shes out at this point we split into teams one clean and tidied up the engine bay and one started to swap parts on the engines
i will add it this oint aswell @Mark :) and @stuartwood89 went off and did some work on marks car so slowed us down a little

we could not lift he engine on are own so we got cleaver and used 3 tyres to get it to the right hight and then lifted the engine over we nearly gave up a lot of bad words use used at this point in the swap getting everything lied up and in place bad idear not to hire or borrow a engine hosit i think

almost ready to try

first turn of the key man was she loud but she lives now to get the rest of the car back together and sorted
the list of parts to go back on was load suspension brakes wheels anti roll bar gear linkage engine mounts exhaust bonnet air box

about 2 hours later she was nearly all back together and working
all the fluids was topped and and check and the final checks was made then it was test drive time

hey guys im still alive eddie is getting still going and us still going good front he last time i updated you guys iv blacked out my headlights the cars been on 2 different sets of alloys and iv added a spitter on the front bumper iv started on the mods in the car now i re trim my door cards with vinli fake leather stuff and painted my trim hes starting to look good getting him ready for japshow finale the first car he going too :)
