mongol rally micra

me and a friend are driving to Mongolia, next summer, as part of the famous mongol rally.
our obvious choice of car is a 2001 bright green automatic micra.:k11green:

we have no mechanical experience whatsoever,so does anyone have any advice at all,on what would be the first things to break and what spares are worth investing in.

also we are still looking for any sponsors to help us with this adventure,we have to raise £1000 for charity.so any offers would be much appreciated.

my first bit of advice would be to get some mechanical expirience, maybe practice changing CV joints, wheel bearings, suspention bla bla bla...

i would definately get a haynes manual (essential as far as im concerned)

i can give you the email address of someone who has done the rally in a micra if you like?? he will probably be able to help you more than anyone. he might be able to help you with the route and things like that also.

will pm it to you
