Mods

I have my micra up to a decent shape and I'm wondering about any mods or suggestions about it. I have done 139600 miles also and I'm keeping it.

Your headlights have the standard discolouration, get those sorted, unless they are also blown, meaning they also have a cracked or smashed shards of glass effect inside. New proper genuine headlights are £160+VAT each, you and I have already talked about some Sport/160SR alloys, they would look nice on your car.

My plan is to make it mechanically great and then focus on the interior and then the exterior. I'll sort out the headlights ASAP because it's difficult to see when driving at night it's absolutely horrible. Will the discolouration polish out the HEADLIGHTS? Or will I definitely have to get new ones.
And what audio set up are you using as well? I quite like it.

If your headlights don't have the shards of glass effect inside then unless they are really bad they should be recoverable, I'd get a local detailer to pop over and do them, probably cost £25-30 a side. The head unit is a Pioneer SPH-DA130DAB, I wanted something with no buttons, to fit a double DIN head unit in your car you are going to need a radio surround air vent panel from an earlier car, have a look here

You may also want the steering wheel controls adaptor and a DAB aerial splitter/adaptor (if you want DAB)

I'll see if I can restore them and I'll start working on the car when I've saved up enough money because I'm going to redo alot of things on the car Plus I'm going to get a very high mileage sport plus or 160sr which is as cheap as I can get it and take the parts I need and the rest I'll sell it. I'll document the project as much as I can and who knows I might even start a YouTube channel and do all it so you guys can see and tackle it if you want to do it yourselves. I'm not too sure about it but if enough people want to then I will but here's my list to get it to my standard of 100%. I intended to fit both new headlights today, I only managed to fit the offside (the trickier one) because the nearside was broken in the box. I have the Osram Nightbreaker headlight bulbs (not LED) and the Osram LED sidelight bulbs fitted in the new headlight. Maybe it's not as evident in the photos as it is in person, the difference the upgraded bulbs make is huge and that was only at sunset, the traditional bulbs have that default orange hue, combined with the tarnished headlights makes driving in the dark a scary experience (especially for poorly sighted old folk like me)

The car is having the new Eibach/Bilstein suspension fitted this weekend, I haven't managed to get the rear subframe blasted and powder coated in time which is bitterly disappointing, so I must proceed with the old one, it is also being machine polished and the paint corrected next week to expose any inconspicuous dents prior to the dents being removed by the paintless dent repair.

Hopefully the rear disc conversion is going on before Christmas too.
