Must admit I was beginning to think that as well, keep on reporting these multiple spam posts from new 'members' but nothing seems to be done about it.

I'm the one who usually ends up clearing out most of the spam posts. Most of them you don't get to see, as they're gone before you have chance to put a report on it. So you're only seeing the stragglers that make it through and get pushed down the recent activity list by usual forum posts.
