Hi everybody !
i'm from france i've got a nissan micra k11 motor
it's an 1.0L model ( think it's a CG10DE motor :S) 1994 :k11motors
i really love my car :love: and i want to put a turbo on it
how can i do it ?

( custom turbo manifold ?)
(what turbo ..?)

i wanna know everything about put a turbo on a micra 1.0 LITER !

Yeah u can, but i personally don't know how!!
For a start you may need a 4-2-1 manifold and full exhaust system, and lower it as this improves handling, err................. i'll let the others fill you in as what else to do :)
 
to be honest people have said there is no point turboing a 1l micra, your better off getting a 1.3 lump and turboing that instead as ull see more gain from the tubro then.

No the 4-2-1 manifold are for naturaly aspirated or supercharged engines as theres no where to put the turbo.

Yes you need a custom manifold or though are some kits available, low compression pistons or a spacer to between the head if your running above 6-9psi and i would recomend a tunable ecu.
It is very expensive to do a job thats worth while, i recomend you change to a 1.3 first.

but it's like a challenge for me :]
and i love my car ...

so i make i list for my configuration:
custom turbo manifold ( someone had a model ? i don't understand 4-2-1 lol sorry )
turbo T20/T25 ( i don't know which is the best for my engine )
custom inox exhaust
ecu tuned
an intercooler ( which model is good for me ? )
shortshifter b&m from pulstar gti-r ( someone told me that it's the same for micra ...)
fuel pump bigger ?

well do you know a firm who can make a custom turbo manifold ?

but i don't care about it

so nobody can explain to me how can i put a turbo on a k11 1.0l?

someone told me that lots of people have done it before but i'm french and i can't understand what they ( tuners of k11 engine 1.0l ) have written...

so can u help me a little bit

A brief outline of what you will need to do

If you have all the components such as manifold, turbo, head gasket, ecu management and pipework it's just a case of bolting everything together and mapping the engine on the road.

The manifold will either need to be custom fabricated, HKS or similiar.

Turbo on a 1.0l needs to be small, T20 perharps, but certaintly not a T25 in my opinion.

Pipework will need to be fabricated to fit the engine bay, you will need to do this or find a proffessional welder who can.

ecu management is a must, such as a e-manage blue which will need to be setup and mapped.

Those are your basic components of a turbo system, it will need a lot of time and money to put it together well and don't expect it to all go right first time.

Obviously there is lots more you could look at such as forged pistons and you should also change the headgasket to lower compression.

check this out in general chat, this is a turbo conversion, but done on a 1.4, download the video as this may help you to understand what's required.
