Micra CD Player code?

could someone help me please?
I bought a 2002 Nissan Micra 1.4 Se K12 lastnight and the radio says 0000. Ive googled and it says I need to put the code in. Only problem I didnt get a code and its not in the manual and previous owner doesnt know it.

Ive read that it can be found using the cd players serial number off the back of the cd player? which means taking the dash off and fiddling about to get the cd player out if what ive read is true?

I am in no way mechanically minded. Is there any other way of finding the code?

There are a couple of members here that can get you the radio code from the serial number...which is indeed on the back of the unit

It should be BP00*****000 if that makes sense (BP then a 12 digit number)...they need the whole number

I wish I knew how to get the code, unfortunately I don't

ETA: I've always assumed that Nissan themselves would be able to get the code for it...however...they may charge I guess <_<

Ring the dealer it should have been recorded on their system.... if they try and charge u tell em no..... it wasnt recorded in the owners manual when new.
