Micra 2000 k11 won't engage 5th gear, any ideas?

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any of you fellow people had come across a k11 that won't engage 5th gear?
It is not a biggy to be honest as i am just looking at another micra for spares. This one is a bit dented also so should be ideal !
It has 7 months mot everything else seems to be in order. Worth a 100 to 150 maybe?

Had a coil pack like that , been ran without gear oil knacking 5th
100/150 just for the mot on it is worth it really specially.if solid , could get a box for 50quid

I'd picked up from somewhere that this could also be misalignment caused by a combination of worn rear engine mount and selector linkage bushes. I hope that's the case anyway as (one of) my k11 is in the same situation!

That's it try the simpler things first. tighten cable

I just found out that the fifth gear is in fact the top gear and it is an automatic which changes everything! lol
Oh well, back to square one!..lol
