micra 1.3 convertable

hey peeps i could have a silver convertable on the cards soon but i want to know if there is any problems with them that i have to look out for like leaking roof etc jus want to know before i buy it dont want to have a money pit on my hands cheers for any replies

kenny the only problem i have ever encounterd with them is that people want too much money for them :grinning: that was a rip that one in the scrappy, accident damaged r reg or something like that and wanted £2200! I think NOT! :doh: :wasntme:

but yeah definately check the roof for leaks, mines has been garaged since november because of it, i have also contacted a few companies with regards to a new roof, but noone in the uk make them cos its such a rare car over here, im still looking at getting it sealed though

also you'll find it hard to get insurance cos its not a uk car, the bloke i bought the car from recommended a company called Warwick Davis

other than that, got for it, the attention you get in it is great

Aye Kenny, seriously check insurance out first as you may find they want to take you for a lend with it!

well for the insurance, im 28, clean license, no no claims bonus and 3 crashes (2 of which are write offs) and im paying £1600 for fully comp

am 22 hun and been past since september there is a vandal damaged one in peterlee scrap yard roof is cut to bits nufc scraped into the bonnet keyed to bits all over the car and water damaged inside and they want 2200 am like ya taking the mick just gota wait a few days to see if i get the car fingers crossed i do and insurance lol better check the morrow but got a few insurance companies that deal with jap imports

Some specialists wont take you unless you have had your license for 3 yr i found out the last time i looked (quite a few year ago like!)

well my dad got a roof made up for his TR4A and i believe it was a custom job, you just give them a roof and they make it.

if i dont get the one on ebay im gona get the one outa the scrap yard but how easy would it be to change it from an automatic to a manual gear box ??? and am not gona pay 2200 for it especualy as its only 4 yr old and has 115,000 miles on the clock
