Matiz 1994 SuperS a.k.a TommyKaira March R#OST

hmm

Front:
- full adjustable corsa Leg converted to micra bolt pattern by drilling the topmount
-then converted to longer golf II/III kayaba cartridge. Many work- longer leg, lathed cartridge top nut, lathed upper bearing cup (14mm VW vs 12mm Corsa), shortened upper spring spacer

Rear:
-Alto springs minus one coil (for better fit with stock micra rubber seat)
-Corsa B/C ahock absorbers

Front is superb- comfy, but still stiff enough for fast driving
Rear is way to soft. Im looking for other springs currenly. Cant fit anyting! All modern springs are barrell-shaped
--------------------------

guys I've found something at scrapyard. Looks like german made aero part for german dielership- never seen soethng like it.. Should I save it? Anyone in UK interrested in rare spoiler? But dunno how's shipping overseas :/

YMHV31S.jpg
I've seen either mk1 or mk2 Ford focus springs used for the rear (might be different ratings used for hatchback/saloon/estate) and I use saab 93 rear shock absorbers myself, just need the same treatment as corsa rear socks with the bottom bush needing to be trimmed

Hah ,Liam, You're literally 11 hours late- today at work during winter tires change I've find out that focus spring may fit. And the springrates are different fo sure, and thats brilliant- I can adjust stiffness. Hatchback ones should be soft -in heavier focus- so in light micra should be perfect

Thanks Bear, no I dont like stripes, also in GT2 there were Stage II based at Facelift model. I must say I dont like how lift front looks ,but in M13 version -its the best looking micra ever

But -since its unreachable- pre-lift super S front for me ;) I bought this rusty crap beacuse of this

some more mods up the way. Currently looking for parts at wreckyards. Also lurking in old-diy-power-tune threads made by frank and others to find best ideas of cheap horsepower

Cheers

Super turbo was great, but I almost always choose EP70 as a starter (63.000Y, used cars dealer, when your starting credits was 1.000.000Y)

btw, I've played japanese version o_O Easier in driving/winning, harder to... navigate in menus :D

sup guys, finaly moved on with ghetto Rover 4-2-1. It was on hold since 3 may

4-2-1mosaic.jpg

Also got Focus lowering springs. Wondering how stiff they are. Ride height should e perfect, but I need stiffness. Alto ones rubs when I have passangers
DSC06887.JPG

oh theres also Toyota 4E-FE Aluminium (donor) For "octopus" (not portrayed) intake manifold, CGA topfeed manifold (donor) and QG Red Injectors

All very similar to what I've going on with my car, I have a 421 manifold that needs bending and flanges (unknown brand), I need focus rear springs as my rear tyres are being eaten and I was playing around with a corolla 4efe manifold too since they make 9 more hp than the standard 4efe in starlets

Sent from my LG K11+ (yes I did buy the phone specifically to have a K11 phone, I'm that sad)

first tricky part, end of rover mani. Theres lambda next to CV joint. Theres also 4x layers of bandage to prevent CV gum from heating

DSC07248.JPG

second tricky part- series of bends to fit from mani flange to center tunnel

alternator at its stock mount

DSC07266.JPG

If I'll made an extension to upper mountng point I can tilt it furter to the front ,and make place for turbo inlet pipe

DSC07267.JPG

plenty of space

DSC07268.JPG

stock CGA mani as donor for manifold, bought for about 4GBP

Btw soo many Lifts are common at wrecking yards in poland right now. Hurts to watch. Especialy when I know that micras are getting rare in its homeland

Changed steering fluid cooiling line for Vectra B aluminium one

This one is related with:

vertical front mount intercooler

I've got intact foglights (daylights) loom and switch, I made an quick led neon. Past & Purious

DSC07323.JPG

and finaly found some Work Meister lookalikes. Super hyped! Also looks like these forces me to make some N2 arches...

Water pump failure, took one from spare engine

DSC07361.JPG

test rim painted white + Kumho 195/45R15
I'll need overfenders, also right quarter panel is welded deeper inside than left one (left is still stock)

Which causes big headache :E but its winter anyway, I'll think about it later

Sup guys, found awesome IHI RHB5 VJ11 from Probe GT... but exhaust shell is cracked :( looking for spare at subaru forums

kinda sad because it is fo sure better than K03. First- it comes from petrol engine, 2- it has water cooling

hello guys ,long time no see

there were some ignition problems about month ago- after week of testing we finnaly found faulty igniton module inside the dizzy.

turbo is slowly going forwar, firs up- alternator relocation

DSC07777.JPG

now i got plenty of space for turbo piping.

Currently I've got two options:

KKK K03 wich is too small, but works well
IHI RHB5 VJ11 with cracked hotside housing :(

Theres also option for Garrett GT17V but it is VTG type, dunno if that can be controlled by mechanical, pressure wastegate valve...

DSC07775.JPG

much space, "lets put an table and have a picnic!"

DSC07778.JPG

Sup

Some more bits

Intercooler is bit problematic too
Dropped Vertical FMIC idea, because Voyager IC collided with alternator in new placement.
-found Saab 2.3 IC. It is too big...
-measured IC from mine Pre-lift Trafic 1.9 (IC pipes with 90' bend). Its too big
-bought IC from Astra F 1.7TD. It is too small

<throws an glass at the wall>

Damn!

and suddenly! bright light at the turbos which means the whole turbo project have bright future

AFAIK its stock K-series engine manifold, it comes from 1.4 Rover 45. But keep in mind that it still needs excesssive mods. Also its a bit tricky to fit those 2 in 1 runners between oilpan and crossmember.
But still- its damn cheap, I've paid 8GBP

Thanks dude, appreciate it.

EGT guys, I've got battery of meters, I'm trying to do my best to not blow this engine

Oil press, Oil temp (measured at turbo feed line) EGT, AFR (narrowband, but will provide some info about lean at WOT what can be most dangerous) and of course boost. Meters are still unfinished, I'll post some photos later. Im doing my own alarms with magnet and reed switch

sup, slowly moving forward:

First up, fiberglass trunklip, made by guy who owns his class @ Kielce

hi guys, moving forward really slowly, but finally I started to make throttle body relocation flange.
First up, turbo coolant lines made from Reanult Trafic AC aluminium pipes. Except this one in front of mani- this used to be CR diesel high pressure line

IMG20211001230645.jpg

IMG20211001230652.jpg

IMG20211001233911.jpg

Also delted the broken abs, got to make some wiretuck

most important thing- TB relocation flange that allows to use "old" type throttle body with CGA intake mani and topfeed fuel rail

IMG20211003141503.jpg

see you soon!
with boost ?

Oh hai, some late night bump

DSC08781.JPG

a bit wiretuck going on, because...

DSC08782.JPG

I've got to put air filter here (turbo outlet facing RH

DSC08793.JPG

Also ditching broken ABS and its loom. Minus 5kg

Last thing is distro cap converted to external coil.

DSC08795.JPG

So far so good. Also connected turbo hoses (no photo)

sup guys, I've been poked by friend to do some updates. Sadly, taking photos became harder after my Sony DSC T-100 gave up after.... well, 12 years on duty?

finaly made some fiberglass hatch support. Got to make some metal slot too, because it will enlarge the hole

while printing stickers I've finally made our trademark "you have to SC RA P" sticker. It's parody of polish stunt/moto team Infamous. Their sticker says "you have to going FU CKIN FAST" ("zapierdalać" is untranslatable, its "going fokin fast" in one word) They re selling this sticker, and it is almost ALWAYS sticked at some slow rustbucket, like Fiat siena, cinquechento or smth like that. So its even parody of parody heh :)

my baby daughter said someday
-daddy why we dont have music in our micra?
-beacause I've ditched the audio baby.

Oh, also this may interest you guys, because it was made in UK
