Magnetic clutch "slipping"??? (CVT)

My car seems to take quite a while to pull away at roundabouts and junctions (the revs go up, then it takes a bit of time to start pulling). Also, it's getting poorer at going up hills.

Just wondered if this is the brushes wearing on the magnetic clutch?

I was thinking of replacing them soon (I'm on 40k miles - is this about the right time for a replacement?)....

Any idea of the price of the brushes?

Cheers

No idea about price or lifespan but the Haynes manual says there's a wear indicator on them so, if u can find them, check that. The clutch is supposed to get jerky when the brushes are overly worn, noticed owt of that? Also, check ur CVT fluid level.
