Loosing power at pedal for short periods?

First problem ever!

Car starts and runs fine then for no reason l loose power at the pedal for a short period then power resumes and runs good again.

Tick over sometimes a bit rough but don't know if this is a connected problem.

I would check your throttle body, clean the icv and butterfly. Check and change plugs, look at your dizzy cap and rotor arm change fuel filter. If it's losing power it's probably lacking fuel or not getting a good spark. Could be the beginnings of fuel pump or injector problems is your alt belt slipping battery might be on its way out. Check the HT leads. Im Assuming you've the dizzy engine I have no experience with coil packs

Disconnect the MAF see if that makes a difference.

The problem is getting worse. However when running well it's pulling like a train.

have you tried a search ? there must be about 100 threads on the coilpack maf

Hey buddy, takes 1 second to take the MAF off the side of the TB.
When it is off, , if that is the problem it will sort the problem immediately, with a few hiccups later on, but it will settle down.
Hope it sorts it.

I had the same problem. It was the throttle body solder dry joints on the board. I did the re-solder job and it worked fine.

Does the problem come and go?
