Looking at buying a 1.3L and throwing a 1.0L Box on it

As the title says. Looking for fun little run around as the evos getting some work done. Heard good things about throwing a 1.0L box on a bigger engine Micra. Was looking for a 1.4L but can only find a 1.3L for sale near me and need a car sooner rather than later.

My question is will a 2000 1.0L 5 speed bolt straight in? Or is there more to picture. More work wont put me off I would just love to know what I'm getting me self into before I take the new daily off the road to piss about with it...

A 1.0 gearbox from 1998-2000 is good for a 1.3. Just make sure its 18 dents on it.

To expand on what he said: You need a restyling 1.0 dizzy gearbox. That means '98 to '00, I think, with the starter on the top and 18 teeth on the primary shaft. The speed sensor is electronic, so you have to swap your own in.
