Geting close to M.O.T time agen so thort i would give it the once over.

Good job on the rust dude..quick question are those rear number plate lights oem? or have you fitted them yourself? as i was thinking of using K10 ones on my k11 tail gate

Thanks but, They are jdm k11 nissan march number plate lights. And i fitted them and painted the boot lid my self. There sould be some pics of me fitting them on this thread...

I don't think the k10 version would suit the k11 as they are a bit more boxy whereas the k11 is more rounder. Thats my personal opinion though

You gunna use those rear spring adjusters to fit 2.25" springs to the rear like me? ;)
 
Was go'n to do the welding this weekend, but when i went to get the steel they didn't have a piece small enough for me to fit in to my car..
So that will just have to wait till next weekend now..View attachment 21011

I know this is an old subject, but I feel I can add something useful to the repair process for the inner wheel arch as experienced by Lee in the photo above.

First thing, remove the back seat and rear seatbelt. The reason is because of the area marked by the red circle. If you weld in this area, chances are the weld may go through some seam sealer and inside the car and cause a fire. Actually, in my case, it did cause a fire. Anyway, onto the blue line marked on the photo. To save a lot of awkward welding, do a butt weld here. If you do a lap weld, you will find it a lot harder to weld as the petrol feed tube will be in the way. Actually, I removed the petrol tank and feeder tube and even then it was still hard to lap weld it. I should add, if you ever remove a seatbelt anchor bolt, never retract the seatbelt. Instead tie it to something to stop it retracting or it may never un-retract again. The other thing, place a wet towel over the weld area inside the car.
