K12 Tailgate Badge Removal?

Hi All,

I'm back in the fold after 4 years of having a yaris- now have a K12.

I was thinking about de-badging the tailgate, where the "micra" badge is and the model badge on the other side.

Are they just held on with adhesive or are there pins aswell? Is it possible to remove the badges without destroying them?

Also, has anyone done this and ended up with a shiny area in the paint where the badge used to be? My car is a 55 reg so not exactly the newest of K12, and its black too if that makes a difference.

The one on the bonnet has pins too but The one on the tailgate is just addhered with gluey stuff
get it off with a cheese wire (or similar) and buff out the glue residue ^_^

Source: I managed to shnaffle one from a 57 plate "Spirita" at the scrapyard a couple of years ago
