Hi everyone. I just finished swapping out my engine and gearbox from my ‘03 Micra S for an engine and gearbox from a vandalised but low mileage ‘06 Micra ?. I am shocked at how easy and straight forward it was to do, even without the help of a Haynes manual.
Anybody contemplating this and having questions, please feel free to ask ?

Anyway, as you have probably guessed by the thread topic, I don’t know my radio code now. ?
Would anyone be able to help me please?
I have just now removed the radio to photograph the serial number, literally 10 minutes work (gotta love MicraS ?).
The number is in the picture below:

Again, many thanks in advance for your help, and if anyone is interested in feedback from the engine and gearbox swap, please just ask ?
Your prayer is answered.......try 3638 or 1638........ (hope you attended to the rust under the offside headlight area while it was apart?.......)

Thank you John I really appreciate your help ?
No problems. While I've done a few engine swaps/rebuilds over the years I've not had the engine out of the K12, just the gearbox for a clutch change. The Micra engine and gearbox removal would seem similar to the original Mk1 Mini (though a LOT less ancillaries to disconnect on the Mini ;)). The easiest I think was the Hillman Imp, just disconnect everything then push the car away, still on its wheels, leaving the engine/gearbox sitting on some blocks....

Actually you are spot on with the Hillman Imp comparison John. The Micra has top and bottom crossmembers that simply unbolt, allowing the car to be pushed back (once all the mountings, exhaust, driveshafts and wires have been disconnected of course?). It’s a great design for the home mechanic.

With the Imp though there are drive shaft couplings that can be removed so you don't even have to withdraw the shafts from the gear box and as sch don't have to touch the wheels/suspension.... same with the Mini....

Yes that is the model number of the radio, it should look like this:-
28 185 AX613.jpg

I'm beginning to suspect that the radio pass card refers to a different radio, you will have to remove the radio and confirm the 'BP' number on it.....

Hi,

Can you please let me know my radio code? Nissan Micra k12

Hi All,
Same story for me. When changing the battery on my daughter's Micra, I thought we had been given the radio code when we got the car. No code to be found :(
I'd greatly appreciate someone's help in generating the code for the following Clarion radio:
CL0815 9 0012188
PP-3000M-B
Many thanks
GT
