Howdy all.
Just bought a 2004 micra as a runaround with no working radio.Like an idiot checked my service book for radio code thinking perhaps that was the problem and voila found one.Entered said code and got the WAIT 1H message with disbelief. What a NUGGET I hear you say especially after noticing the ruddy aerial was missing(no doubt an automatic car wash the culprit).Anyway removed radio to get serial and part numbers noticing the 10 mil fixing at rear of unit was missing concluding the radio must have been swapped out in the past for whatever reason hence the lockout.Comedy of errors I know.Any help would be appreciated.
Serial Number BP234732058782
Part Number 7 642 347 318
Thank you in advance for any help.....
P.s Fitted a new aerial without too much drama so I'm good for something:D

I hope that you are going to be able to help me with this radio code malarky. It's doing my soddin head in.
Serial No = BP334947239531
Part No = 8635123392. I have noticed online, that a lot of the radio part Nos start with a "7" God knows why mine would begin with an "8"?
Anyway. Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Many thanks...

PLEASE. ANYBODY....

Many thanks John. You're a star.. The first code worked fine.:)
All I need to do now is replace the blown speakers, that a working radio has shown up...:(
Why are speakers so damned expensive?
I'm a 60 yr old guy who only wants something to listen to radio 2 on. Not some petrol head who wants "banging tunes, with full on base," that drives people mad in traffic jams.
£10.00 a pair would be quite adequate...:D

I would send you mine original speakers with cost of postage, but I'm in the Land of The Finns...

John, with £1 answering fee in here you could fund your modifications? :D

-Mika-
You want a good laugh, Mika, that's what I paid for the code for my Micra before I found the software
As you say, with the amount of free codes I've given out so far I could have funded quite a bit ;)

Well I've got ten years on you and my 6 CD player is full of Rolling Stones, Santana and ZZ Top  (though the radio is usually tuned to '5 Live' or 'Talk Sport' ;))

Also, looking at it with the dash out it looks straight forward to change to an after market one but there are posts saying it cant be done? Is this correct and if so why?

I'll try it. Now it is with the message wait 1 hour.

Thanks John_D
That means '1hr, with the radio turned ON and the engine running' If you just turn the engine off, next time you start it and turn on the radio the message will still be there!

seems I have the same problem - managed to get at the radio and got these two numbers off the back of my son's K12 (2006)

BP53846 1723 038
7645384318

Any idea of the magic code to get the Micra blasting out again?
Rob

Hi Rob, try 9940 or if that doesn't work, 1940
Don't forget my comment above about the 'wait for 1 hour' message.
