k12 oil, what to buy also engin not as responsive as it used to be

right oil is now at 1/4 full and car is in need of some ,anyone got any recomendations as what oil they prefere?like magnatex ect or shell standard lol , .
also car is startin to sound like its struggleing to accelerate when its cold like when you start at seven am after bein in bed all night maybe its just me but it dosent seem as responnsive as it used to be when its cold im thinkin maybe this could be something different than the oil engin has just over 28,000 miles on and is a 54 (nov plate) any ideas anyone?

change oil and filter,im using car lube as most cars prefer cheaper oil.used magnatec in my fiesta si and it used to drink 1l a week,untill i changer to the cheaper stuff

becauase cheaper stuff is thicker and not as good, it doesnt leak as easily. if you have a good engine (low mileage and well looked after) then decent oil should be fine 5w-30 or whatever. If your engine is gettin on a bit then get cheap stuff in stead lol (like 10/15w-40)........ I think!
