K12 Micra Wipers - hitting sides

We had to repair the front wiper mechanism - a common fault I understand - by putting a bolt in the plastic circle.

But now my wipers are banging against the sides of the window frame.

My mechanic couldn't work out how to fix this and suggested smaller blades.

The blades just go too far up and too far down - makes one hell of a noise.

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Mine does this but only sometimes. Did you get any help on this one. May need to replace the wiper mech which seem to sell for circa £35

Ended up replacing the wiper mechanism - apparently this is a common fault on the Micra. He got a replacement kit.

My mechanic - who is good - could not get it perfect, so I use slightly smaller blades and they do hit the side of the window sometimes.

I just put up with it.

Only just spotted this, but I bought a cheap kit with new linkage rods and joints from Wipex (you can find them on Amazon. quick and easy to fit, and cured the problem.

Actually - the way we fixed it was to just put a new bolt in the joint of the rods. It was a plastic joint and apparently it tends to go.

They work OK, but aren't perfect, tend to 0ver-reach.

If they go again I'll get some new rods.
