K12 1.2 80bhp manual gearbox oil change

Hi folks

I’d like to change the gearbox oil on my k12. Changes are a bit notchy sometimes and it’s done 65k miles so I figure it won’t do any harm.

I can see the drain plug with the square socket insert on the underside but I’m not sore of the filler plug location. There’s a plastic wing-nut looking nylon plug on the front side of the box, would this be it?

any help or advice would be much appreciated

Did this the other day. Ordered the oil from amazon, took the car for a blast to warm up the gearbox and then drained and re-filled. Dead easy. Replaced the copper washer on the drain plug, have done 500miles since and rechecked the level today again and is all good.

My Micra seems to be having issues where it doesn't want to change sometimes and then other times it smooth. Was wondering if anyone new if this could be related as I was under the cables at fault
