K11 Redline

Alright Dudes!!

Does anyone out there know what the RedLine is on a 1997 1 litre K11?
Fitting a rev counter to mine before I blow it up!! :laugh:

around 6800 rpm.

Please reduce your signiture to 3 lines!!!
 
Mine has got rev counter / shift light........ when I got it, the shift light was set at 8000rpm o_O Reduced that a bit now! :D Was a bit dubious at having it a first, but the rev counter does come in useful.
 
No reason to rev it to the limiter anyway.....

But the limit varies from ECU to ECU. Usually tends to be around 6900rpm tho :)
 
All the K11 are ECU controlled. Unless this has been altered I.e. Eprom reprogramed, there is NO WAY you will get one to rev above 7000. Please note that max power on standard setup is around 6000 rpm. If you pass around 6500 rpm 1, you will actually accelerate slower, and 2 its utterly pointless on standard engine. Having a shift light set to 8K does not mean its possible for the engine to rev to 8K.

Remember for maximum accleration, if you were to look at a torque graph you would want to stay within the part of the graph with the maximum area beneath it with reference to the gear you are in at the time.

2 - 55ish
3 - 75/80 IIRC
4 - 105 but you will struggle to get there :D

well my limiter seems to kick in

1- 34
2- 55ish
3- 80ish
4- 102
5- dont know really, goes off the clock but really does struggle
can c it goin pop soon tho....
