K11 Pollen Filter

Having trouble with the heater air flow of my 1998 K11 Micra and having read the threads on here now suspect a blocked pollen filter as I have done the following, took the hoses of the heater matrix and back flushed it,checked the on off valve which is ok,put in a new thermostat, checked that the water was circulationing through the system and heater it is,checked all control cables are operating they are and feel right, reading the threads here I seen the pollen filter mentioned and thought if that's blocked it could be the cause of the no air flow, the Haynes does not mention the pollen filter and I did not see it in the car but was not looking for it as I did not know it had one,can anyone help, looked at the Mann filter site and it lists one from Feb 1998 on,any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Well I am very happy to say that the pollen filter was the cause of the trouble,it was blocked well over 50%,now with a flushed cooling system, new thermostat the heater is very good, the pollen filter is behind the glove box as stated,I had to cut the back bracket that blocks access to the filter,I only done one cut on the left set of holes, the plastic hinges enough to change the filter without removing the piece, made a little bracket out of a piece of tin, drill two holes in it and the plastic bracket, secured it with a couple nuts/bolts, thanks for all the help from here.

I am so pleased to have a very good heater working proper again without having to take the car to bits,at the links below are four pictures of how I done my 98 K11,started by removing the glovebox, disconnect the cable for the air recycling flap to save pulling it or breaking what it is attached to,cut the plastic with a hacksaw blade, gently pull it to one side, remove the filter cover retaining screw and cover, pull out the filter, clean out the holder and fit a new filter.
