thats good plans=micra don
join the other dons on here!
micra don?

hoovered, washed and polished the car today only for it to absaloutley chuck it down :(.
also been haveing a problem with my cd player. when it was wired up the the sidelights and speedo lights refused to work and kept blowing the fuse when i tried to replace it so had to drive everywhere with 1 rear fog on in at night. so my mates dad suggested a direct feed from the battery so we got cracking with that and im pleased to report i have both cd player and lights working at the same time since i got the car :D happy days

also can anyone notice anything new what i have done?

cheers man:). aye its quite bad on full lock but i dont mind because im getting 13" banded steelies in 2 weeks :D

right question for frank. im getting banded steelies in a few weeks but dont know what i should be going for. so heres a few figures of the sight if you could point me in the right direction it will be hugely appreciated :).

1st set
The 8x13 is available in the following PCD's and Offsets

4-108
4-100

ET = NEG10
ET = NEG59

2nd set
The 7x13 is also available in the following PCD'S and offsets :

4x100
4x108

ET = POS3

are these deep, which is best setup to get and what size tyres would you reccomend with a bit of stretch involved. cheers mate

mark may be the best one to ask tbh steve, but tyre stretch gives you a lot more poke and clearance i,ve found, for example my 13,s are dished more than the 14,s, and stick out further, and the are nearly the same outside dia but because the tyre stretch is greater on the 13,s they clear the bodywork by miles :eek:

oh right, took a few reads to get my head round that lol. is 7*13 deep? cheers man

i think it,ll depend on what tyre you choose steve, here,s my 6.5 J x 13 with 70mm more poke than stock (which is about as much as you can get away with on the rear, with 155/70/13 tyres)

Use www.willtheyfit.com to help you visualise and compare different offsets. If you want to have a look at the wheels in my blog, the 6x13s on the car are +13, the tial fitted 7s are 0 and the 8s are -13.

It would be cool to get the -10 8s and +3 7s back and front, it'll need some camber to keep the tyres under though - even with a fair stretch.

cheers, could you possibley reccomend one setup from the list that will sit niceley online with the arch or a tiny bit poke. with no problems. cheers

lol yeh, its mindblowing eh, the way that the centreline moves (and also the ET by 1/2 as much) when you widen the wheel
you,ve got nearly 2" (50mm) more poke there eh, i have 70mm more poke on the rear and about 60mm more on the front (but i have camber too tho eh)

and you can see that there is a lot more wheelpoke than tyrepoke on the stretched one eh, and for example my 14" front on the red car was fouling even with all that camber (but it only has 45mm more wheelpoke than stock)
yet the 13" rear on the blue car has 70mm more wheelpoke (with no clearance problems)
both cars are panhard rod centered

cheers frank, im seriously thinking about ditching the idea and spending the money on dropping a 1.3 in instead. found them really cheap on ebay.
so few questions for you micra nuts out there.
1. has anyone got any spare steel wheels i could buy. 3 ideally. however i might be willing to do a swap for my wheels with a small small amount of cash my way.
2. how easy is it to strip a engine out.
3. how much would a garage charge to fit the 1.3
4. would it be easy to do myself
5. do i use the exsisting wiring harness.

there you are. replys appreciated as always :)

If it's still doing your head in, I've found in the past that drawing it helps:

In black is a 5" Et 35 wheel, the red is the changes that happen because of a 2" band added to the outer rim.

cheers mark, im still slightly confused. theres a pic of a green micra with 13x7 et+5. the poke looked slightly to much so would et+3 be a little less poke?

should be purchising the following on friday
1. set of super lites with tyres second hand. ( found two cheap sets, waiting on replies)
2. wind deflectors
3. maybe have to get some arch trims like euro micra if the wheels poke too much like his, smooth them in and paint though.

on the euro micra situation im not copying him. ive had these plans for ages. we just have such good taste lol

nice wheels

Sounds a reasonable price that.

I'm dubious about how well those stainless arches will be able to work, and the likely hood of the paint comming off. You Didn't fance some of the universal bolt ons that are available?

Hey Steve. We definately are going down the same path now arn't we haha, although my progress is coming to an end until I get another one anyway. Decent price for them wheels too, and they come with the centre capsgrr.

I used HDNL (home) through parcels2go, cost about £18total with insurence, for the 3day delivery packaged in two sets of two. If they were shipped as one large parcel the price is nearer £35 as I'm guessing they need two people. So try getting them packaged individual or in twos for cheaper postage, hope that helps.

These are the arch trims I got mate, cheap n plastic I know, but should do the trick n should be good painted. One pic show how it'd look sat under the arch as opposed to on it, n the other just cos it looks good lol. But if you got the money pal, I'd recommend going for something better, maybe some full-sized that fit the whole arch, of if you are going to go to the effort of smoothing them in, you could flare the arches first/or instead?

Just looked at those wheels, pukka choice! Mine are et + 6 and do poke, I was original looking at 13 x 8 et -59 wellers, that would have gone terrible wrong, not too much poke or it looks like roller skate!!
